Orthopaedic library

ortho---library.jpgThe M. Beckett Howorth Orthopaedic Surgery Library is maintained by the department. It houses more than 600 volumes and subscribes to more than 45 of the leading orthopaedic journals. The library also maintains current orthopaedic literature from the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons on a monthly basis.

This library serves the department and supplements both the Orthopaedic Surgery Resident Conference Center library and the Rowland Medical Library in the area of orthopaedic surgery. The library also houses more than 100 video tapes from both seminars and the Academy regarding orthopaedic surgery.

The library is complete with study area, TV, VCR-DVD, and a computer on the UMMC network for searching capabilities through the National Library of Medicine and our own Rowland Medical Library.
